CEFTIOGARD Ceftiofur Hydrochloride 5% Injectable is a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic formulated for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections in livestock. Containing Ceftiofur Hydrochloride 5% (50 mg/mL), it provides rapid bactericidal activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria commonly associated with respiratory disease, foot rot, and postpartum uterine infections in cattle, as well as respiratory disease in swine. Ceftiofur works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, helping eliminate infection while supporting faster recovery and improved herd health.

Indications

For the treatment of bacterial infections caused by ceftiofur-susceptible organisms, including:

  • Bovine respiratory disease (BRD)
  • Swine respiratory disease (SRD)
  • Acute interdigital necrobacillosis (foot rot) in cattle
  • Acute postpartum (puerperal) metritis in cattle where indicated
  • Other susceptible bacterial infections as determined by a veterinarian
